Sir. Elxx is back today with a new update on the upcoming version of the very popular Sandbox mod. Here's what he had to say:

Well, it's been a while since the last release of Sandbox. But the good news is, I'm working on Sandbox 0.5. So now seemed a good time to relaunch this Sandbox website at its shiny new domain, sandboxmod.com. In conjunction with the upcoming release of 0.5, I'd like to expand this site to include a gallery/exchange of creations and various other cool things.
So...what's new in Sandbox 0.5? Lots of stuff. The biggest new feature is called Grouping. You can now grab several objects at once, in a group, and move them around or duplicate them. This means you could build, say, a ramp out of pallets and then move the whole thing to another location quickly and easily. Groups can be saved individually and shared between users, making it a lot easier to work on large-scale constructions.
There's also an illustrated guide in the main menu that helps you quickly learn about the basic and advanced functions of Sandbox so you can start building right away.
In this release, I want to also focus on all the awesome stuff that people have created in Sandbox - there is currently a topic on the Sandbox forum for submission of your own Sandbox pictures to be included in the loading screens. The exchange on this site may be expanded aswell so you can actually download and load Sandbox creations in-game.
There are some new objects as well, raising the total number from 78 to 102. By popular request, the Battleracer DPV also makes a cameo with its beefed-up armor and afterburner. And of course the annoying little bugs you may have experienced in 0.4 are fixed. Stay tuned!
