Stargate BFM2 Alpha R1 Released

We have a nice little surprise today coming from the Stargate BFM mod team as they release an alpha version of their mod. Here's what they had to say:

As promised, today I'm handing down to you BFM2 Alpha R1. This version has the following items currently ingame:

• Tau'ri F-302 Fighter
• Goa'uld Deathglider
• Goa'uld Tel'tak Cargo/Transport ship
• Atlantian Puddlejumper
• SG Team Skins for USMC (China presently unmodified)
• Tau'ri Flag ingame (Goa'uld flag also ingame but needs work)

This version is Multiplayer Only, we do however have a dedicated server up that can be connected to at: 221.71.50.225:16567

Keep in mind this is an Alpha release, and as such, essentially it is a Public Beta. Do not expect everything to be perfect however I do encourage you to post bugs in the Bug Section of our Forums (Things like the Goa'uld Flag are not bugs).

if you need a shortcut just copy one from your other mods on the desktop and change the path to stargate instead of the existing mod folder.

Thanks for the shortcut tip..I would have never have thought of that! I have used it for all my mods w/o shortcuts now!

its a little rough but man those gliders are fun!!!! well worth the 35 mb, WELL!!!

yea, i have to for all my mods to force the 1920x1200 resolution but this one didnt come with a shortcut and every time i activate a mod inside bf2 it reverts to the default resolution.

heres the target line for stargate, adjust for the resolution you need.


"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/stargate +szx 1920 +szy 1200

Does it have any new weapons like staff weapons and Zats? I remember seeing some in preview screenshots and I hope they are in this build. :)

DLing the mod now, it'll be fun to play over LAN.
