BF2 Assault Mod v7.117 Released

Our community member SPARTAN117GW has sent word today that he has released the latest version of his BF2 Assault Mod, v7.117. Here are a few of the changes and additions in this new version:

BF2 ASSAULT is a sp, coop, and mutliplayer mod. It is a community mod made by two devs but with content, advice, and help from many well known modders and dev teams. BLACK SAND STUDIOS has been a major help with this mod.

Change List
- Health packs only give you 10 percent health when picked up (kiss insta-heal good bye)
- Smoke grenades have a better effect and act as LASER GUIDED beacons before they pop)
- New suppressed weapons!
- NEW SKINS US ARMY ACU, REVISED MARPAT, and weapon skins are cleaned up and sharper. And those old weapons just look way cooler now!
- USMC LOGO on m16 from first person. ARMY uses issue #
- NEW SCAR SCOPE - Uses a red illuminated cross
- NEW MAP IWO JIMA
- Lots of tweaks to weapons and vehicles
- When squad leader the commander (if a bot) doesn't spam you with messages any more phew!
- There are 10 maps. All SP\COOP\MULTI supported. 3 of which are NIGHT maps

If you haven't played the mod before there are thousands of changes not listed here because well I'll let you experience it for yourself, and the bots are NOT your average bf2 bots. If you hate multiplayer then this mod will give you bots that'll whoop you where it hurts. The bots in this mod are simply freaking awesome. Things like spawning into vehicles, radar on all air vehicles so you don't have to rely on a UAV. Such things make the game more fun.

file front\file planet are both hosting it. for the file planet link. visit planetbattlefield becus they have it there. here it goes to filefront. those are the only mirrors i know of right now.

thanks guys. oh yeah. some sounds are from pr( got permission from eggman ages ago) but yeah. i think it was still a mini mod when i got those sounds =) thanks for dling=) thanks evybody!

I installed this mod in my bf2 directory..C:\Battlefield 2\mods as i do with many of my other mods but nothing is showing in BF2 & i have no icon or start menu addon neither???

How do i play this mod?

ah when it asks for u to create the new folder bf2assult . select yes. itl should isntall just fine
the shortcut is in teh files u unzipped. its calleD BF2ASSAULT 7.117 ( and im not talkin bout the installer. dont worry il make it more obvoius as it doesnt really show the propper icon)
