Maybe cause they've released after almost 2 years a build thats bugged to hell, and with the cop out ... its an alpha :laugh:
Every other mod i've tried has ran better and had more content.... the only thing Dcon has had is a good brand name that fan boys latch onto hoping in some nostaligic way it will be like the ground breaking original DC.
Though saying that, do enjoy CTF

Way to insult lots of people out there. Ill check with you before I enjoy something next time. If the other mods were as much fun as the DC style game, they wouldn't be mostly empty.

Are there bugs? Absolutely and the DCON devs know them. Even with the few bugs that do exist, they haven't stopped me from playing hours on end. I just think that the abuse you guys dish out to the DCON folks is unnecessary.
Also, if DCON was such a disaster, then why did the premier online competition league (CAL) officially announce that DCON is being picked up? It will replace one of the nilla games...BF2 or 2142.
I suggest you just be happy that you have all this free content to choose from. POE2, DCON, USI, AIX, FH2, EOD2, etc....Comment

There not associated. Well except that tons of us loved DC, and are really happy DCON is trying really hard to bring it back to us. Of course, you think of us as just fanboys, thats real nice. I have seen people in DCON servers I haven't seen playing for almost a year and a half, and I praise them for bringing those guys back out of the woodwork.
So is it the name then, is it that both of them could be called "DC" by the uneducated , is that the problem?
Is is that they both are about the US military fighting against the Iraqi forces, in desert / urban combat fights. With A10's, hind's, RPG's and AK47's etc?
If its the second issue, I don't see the difference between that and USI, the mod in your sig.
Or is it that USI has a small fan base, and some people are just really bad sports?
Play the game you enjoy, and stop embarrassing yourselves like this.

Thanks for the support (some of you, lol), but don't even engage the topic. No matter how much we improve and work on this mod, people will sling rude opinions at us. We are quite used to it, and don't really pay it any mind any more.
Of course, part of the reason our threads and updates go the length they do is because of fans, some because of our haters, so everyone ends up helping us in the end, lol.Comment

OMG dude, you are so right. I've seen so many people and clans that I haven't seen since BF2 came out. People from TFS, NET, GOG now called G3, SAS, PII and so on and on, and they all love what we're trying to do.
