I have another quick question about this mod. Where is the .exe to launch this mod? I have looked all over for it and I told it to create a desk top shortcut when I installed it but I'll be dammed if I can find one.
I was able to launch it using the Bf2 server launcher and then connect to it but I can not find the .exe to start the mod in game.<o>:p></o>:p>
It's a modification. It has no actual executable. The command line parameter "+modPath" tells Battlefield 2 where to get its information upon startup.
It’s the 1st modification I have seen with no .exe to launch it and I have downloaded and installed all of them from this site. I find it especially strange that the installer ask you if you want a shortcut placed on your desktop and if you say yes it does not place anything on your desktop at all.
I have been hosting servers since back in the days of MOHAA so I understand the command line parameter for the server. I was able to set up a quick server here at the house by simply using the little noob server launcher that comes with the game and it ran fine when I connected to it.
With that said where is the .exe so I can directly launch the mod if I choose.<o:p></o:p>
It installed a shortcut for me when I told it to. If you can't seem to get it to, make a shortcut and put '"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/CQB +menu 1 +fullscreen 1' as the target, and tell it to start in "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2". Also, just copy and paste the icon for CQB found in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\CQB.
Also, where are these .exe's you speak of found? The only ones I've ever seen are uninstall files. The only other things close to executables I've found are .bat files.

Start up bf2, go to community>Custom games>then you can launch all your installed mods from there
I don't get these mod things? What are they..? Are they like patches?
yes, they go right into your mod folder inside your BF2 program files. Unless it has a setup wizard that will do it for you. Very good ability of BF2 though, try it out.
