Northern Conflict Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Northern Conflict mod website. Here's what they had to say about it all:

Here we are again with another update. Since last time we have had the pleasure to become a member of the Black Sand Studios, a team of cooperating mod teams. In this studio, the mods share resources, ideas and content. We want to thank BSS for letting us join them. As said earlier, we have got a new website. The lists of vehicles and weapons included in Northern Conflict are now published, and the story will be soon. Take a look at our image gallery as well, where all renders and ingame pictures are found. And also, take a look at our profile at ModDB.

The AK5 is the Swedish version of the FN FNC assault rifle. We have two versions to show you today, the standard version AK5A and the smaller AK5D. The D-version has the picatinny rail sytem, and is modelled with and without an aimpoint sight. The AK5Ds have silencers mounted, and will be used as Spec-Ops weapons. The AMRAAM is an Air to Air missle though. Not Ground to Air.

it all looks good except you need WAY more white smoke during launch.

actually norway uses the NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) wich is a ground launched AMRAAM.

i guess they use the same system for all countrys because its easiest, sweden uses the 3rd generation HAWK, RBS 70, RBS 90 and i have no idea what denmark use.

im norwegian! and got to say, i cant wait for this mod!

anyone tried the minimod that was out in a short time?.... the forest map is very cool!..... impossible to see each other..

Thanks for the positive comments, guys! The NASAMS does actually create a lot of smoke, especially when several missiles is launched rapidly. The forest map will of course be included in NC, and is now being improved.:)

Finland is not a part of Scandinavia, and does not have the same mutual bond that Sweden, Norway and Denmark has had through out history.

Yeah, throw in Finland together with Sweden as force against Norway and Denmark.. Finland flies the FA/18 Hornet me thinks.. that'd be a cool addition! :)

Considering that Finland was a part of Sweden for 700 years that statement isn't entirely true!

Oh by the way... Standard version of the AK5 is not Adam it's Bertil (AK5B) if I'm not misstaken AK5A was the test version.

The AK5B is a marksman/squad leader version. The AK5A is the standard one. The AK5B will also be included in NC.
