    Allied Intent Xtended Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over in the Allied Intent Xtended mod forums. Here's what they had to say:
Today we bring you some cool new toys for AIX as well as an Infantry only map by DasRoach called "Running Man." Running man is a close quarters combat map designed to get the most out of squad tactics and run and gun fighting. The combat area is dominated by a central tower that once under control gives the winning team an advantage with ticket bleed as well as a dominating sharp shooter vantage point...especially with the powerful new as50 and m109 sniper rifles. In this small but vastly intricate level you will fight trench battles, intense sniper showdowns, inner building skirmishes and urban street fighting.

Also on todays menu we have the much loved and missed supply crate. Now placed at bases throughout AIX levels, players will enjoy the ability to resupply and heal without screaming for that one supply player half way across the map. smile.gif Next we have the Hecker and Koch hk416. This weapon is quite accurate due to its low recoil and zoom telescopic lens which can be used quite strategically for single shot sniper takedowns. Lastly for this update is the Barrett M109 sniper rifle. It is as mean as it looks and won't deliver anything less than a one-shot kill.

the hk416 looks scaled up a bit too much compared to the soldier.

I can see what you mean troybob, but its simply the perspective of the screenshots... the 416 is the correct size/scale (its easy to tell when you place the weapons in pickupkits and can see them all side by side)

just to clarify: Allied Intent v0.2 (AI 0.2) is available now.
Allied Intent Xtended (AIX) is NOT yet available
, but will be submitted to ModJive on its release.

i think ModJive's AI 0.2 entry may be incorrectly labeled as AIX, but AIX will require AI 0.2 to be installed beforehand so anyone who downloaded AI 0.2 thinking it was AIX, please hang on to it, you'll need it when AIX releases

                apologies for any confusion :)
