nice models an all but im just so underwhelmed by the choice of side.America. Again. come on ameicans cant be that closed minded as to only want to play america. we all know america has the biggest and shinniest toys. Im more endeared to smaller nations whos notion of an army is quality and not handfuls of cash thrown and fancy programs.

My brother trains ppl to fix Harriers......knows em like the back of his hand.......prolly the best Harrier Tech in the USMC besides his best friend Bill........I guess that means the world. Thats quality my friend.

u just made my point for me. The Harrier being british and britain having a small fraction of the money available to the USMC, never mind the military as a whole, designed a plane that does a fantastic job. and didnt throw massive wads of cash at it.
whats wrong with a little diversity in the armys? we arent talking 150 tanks per side. its 64 v 64. small scale. that puts several armed forces in the world in play that would be a nice change from whats become a standard army in almost every game thats played.

its not about being worried about others being dropped its more that it was nice to have a well rounded mod that didnt take the already well trodden path. radically different sides added to the charm and freshness of the mod whilst the USMC is stale by comparison.
clearly we dont think alike and im not going to labour any longer on my point. i wish you luck with ur mod.

If you do not like playing as the US, then do not play the maps that feature the US. Simple as that, guys.

I think they choose US because of the equipment.

But I would have added Russia instead, some T64 and T72 and also add poland with some Leopard 2A4's.

That would definantely been the way I would have done it.

Great move to add the US even through I am Australian.

Remember US Army will bring more players to the game which in return get players to learn more about other armys and weapons.

Remember US is just one side to everygame played in BF2.

AV8B is a completley different jet than a gr7 brit harrier.........different motor different electronics ..............cost about $30 million............about the price of most military fighters save for an f22 raptor.........but thats new tech........how bout the f16 thats a cheap one that everyone flies these days...why? cuz it kicks balls....similar to the mig 21 in versitility but a more complete package.....still an outstanding quality multirole fighter.

Love the mod, but USMC? hmm... I'll rather play as the US Army. I want some ACU's no more MARPAT dammit!

Not to mention the equipment, I'll rather fly the Army's AH-64 Apache helicopter than the marine's AH-1W Super Cobra. As for the other aircraft, just mix the USAF with the Army and you got a killin' combo of the best of tech available in the US arsenal.

At least I hope that we get M16A4s with EOTech, I'm getting sick and tired of the same ol' M16A2, it's practically outdated.
