    Re: Project Reality Rally Weekend

I've spent many hours playing on TG POE2 server. I've never seen any of their members acting up nor their admins kicking anybody for being better than them.
I was kicked twice from their server to make room for TG members (understandable) Good bunch of guys IMO

Check out the full article as there's a bit more info in it. We're trying to promote the reality mod and introduce more new faces to the TG regulars. We're also trying to raise the bar by setting a goal of having a CO on both teams for each round.

Hopefully after people start to get comfortable with the mod and we see more regulars on the server, every night will be top notch game play. We did it once before with our vanilla & PoE2 servers and we're hoping to do it again with the PR server.

I am not singling you guys out in particular, but the majority of servers are usually like what I said before. if they are run by a large group of people or clan, then that person can call for someone to be kicked for any reason.

Its doubtful you've been actually banned. Our server is "full" at 62 of 64 players. We have two slots held open by our own custom scripts to process incoming players. If one of those incoming players is a supporting member of TG, the longest player non-supporting member is kicked to make room for the people that pay the bills. The reserved slot system in BF doesn't work the way we want it to, so we had to create our own solution. We kick the longest playing non-supporting member because we want to give as many people as possible a chance to get in some good game time.

Join when the server is below 62 players and you'll be good to go!

Understood. No hard feelings. I do agree with you, many traditional "clan" servers are set up specifically for the benefit of the clan and outsiders rarely get a fair shake. Tactical Gamer, being a community, is actually made up of both clans and our own in-house squads, so we need to be sensitive to everyone and try and promote a fair environment for both our own members and our guests.

                  Re: Project Reality Rally Weekend

I had the pleasure of participating in the Rally event this weekend for a couple of hours. Thanks to a couple of very capable squad leads and good teammates, I had a great time. In fact, I finished second in one round as a Marskman, with 14 kills and no deaths. Good times.

Project Reality has steadily evolved into what I thought it was going to be back when I was on the Dev team. At this point, it's the best mod for BF2 and I hope it continues development beyond the BF2 engine.

The rally weekend was a success. While we didn't meet all of our goals, we feel that the quality of play was raised a notch. Tactical Gamer wants to thank each and every person that participated and tip our hats to those who stepped into the CO chair.

Please pay attention to the TacticalGamer.com forums for more project reality special events.
