Re: Battlefield: Bad Company Teaser Trailer

this is actualy ingame footage, if you take a look at gears of war for Xbox 360, the camera movement and character detail is all that good, and the destructable environment is possible but debatable as far as "gameplay" goes.

I myself, a major PC fan for well over 8 years now, gotta say that xbox 360 is capable of some amazing graphics, it just depends on how much effort the developers put into it. I doubt this game will come out for the PC, though with DX10 now available, its quite possible for such a level of detail and physics, like others have said... Take a look at Crysis www.totalcrysis.com

Another game to look out for is "Army of Two" for the xbox 360, similar in style and looks to gears and bad company: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RYVnxZmRCJg

Perhaps this is not what you are saying here. BTW those graphics and movements by the soldiers in the video are probably aways yet for gaming in my opinion!

        anyhoo, I don't know anything.

I didn't say they were better I was just saying that people need to stop saying they aren't possible on a console when they are :).

Consoles are far and away from PCs but they are in contention as far as gameplay and graphix... and they don't have to put up with the PC woes at all.

ARe you sure this is ingame footage? and why would they not announce that at the beginning of the video? How do you know this?

It is IN-ENGINE footage (pay careful attention on the bottom right corner of the HD trailer, found in gametrailers.com,) not in-game. That basically means that the engine is capable of graphics that good and destructible environments, but probably the character animations would not be in there.

I don't get one thing, all the screenshots that they had back in september was from this trailer. Why did it take them so long to release it?

It's ingame footage using custom player animations.

Other thing to remember is this trailer is not aimed at you, its aimed at the core X360 constituency, who probably havent played BF on PC before, but know it by reputation.

guys who are debating over the graphics, those of you who have an xbox 360 will have already seen high end graphics in gears of war, so they will know it is possible. those who havent played one, dont say it isnt possible until youve seen them yourself on the 360. and i dont mean get a clip of it from youtube either, obviously having a HD tv would help too. i have and i was amazed at the quality

                        No, it's in-engine footage. Quite a bit different. :)
