    Eve of Destruction Mod Update

The Eve of Destruction mod team is back today with their latest update showing off another classic map. Here's what they had to say:
Once again we have no Daily Advisor, but mostly because this map speaks for itself. Following the last week's showing of CloseFire, I'd like to show off another classic. No other map captured the feel of the dawn in the paddies than any other map within EoD. We'd like to welcome you all to: Dawn of the Rice Paddies.

This map is another famous favorite Eve of Destruction map. Originally created by Sgt. Killboy for Battlefield 1942, it has been artfully recreated for EoD BF2 by our expert mapper, Junglist.

Junglist, has worked long and hard to revitalize this classic on the BF2 game engine. It features some new custom statics, created by Spicy and Trahn Lee. With some help from Guedoe of USI. We also have some other treats from our friends at BGF mod as well.

This map will certainly bring back many memories to the die hard EoD Fan who has played EoD in BF1942. From the classic layout, to the environmental sound effects.. This map will bring many hours of warfare in the paddies to those who embark upon it.

          sweeeeeeeeet!..looking good there guys.
          .
just a small suggestion if any of the eod devs read this..lol
maybe add a slight tinge of blue or purple to all the sky colour settings, and a slight tinge of yellow or orange to all the sun colour settings, all the statics and trees lighting settings doesnt match the skydome and fog too well.....just a suggestion.
keep up the good work guys

Cheers BEEX, actually, by my mistake (didn't know Trahn was doing an upsdate), an old version was used for the screenies.

I've all ready added some different lighting and also re-run lightmaps etc...

Heres some screens from the newer version...

Re: Eve of Destruction Mod Update

Could someone tell me if they know if EoD2 will have:<o></o>
                          Gunboats (Riverboats),
and pieces of B-52 tail fins sticking up in the air from crashed B-52's (I see downed UH-1's but no aircraft)
                          SAM Sights to destroy,
                          HH-3E Jolly Green Giant’s and Bell-Cobras<cite> </cite>for us to fly,<o></o>

                          Napalm,<o></o>
                          Flamethrowers,<o></o>
“Hanoi Hannah” playing on loud speakers,<o></o>
                          C-130’s dropping supplies,<o></o>
Sounds of planes and helicopters flying over all the time in the background,
con-trails in the skys from the high flying B-52's?<o></o>

                          B-52 bombing runs,<o></o>
and can we call in air strikes?
                          Thanks.

Yes... I need to add "Paint it Black" to the list, but "Carry on my waward son" came out after the war was over (1977).
                          Thanks for the missing tune!
