We have very sad news today coming from the BattleGroup-Frontlines mod team about the lose of a close member of their mod family. Here's what they had to say:

It is with a heavy heart that we bring you this update. A member of the BGF family passed away recently. One of our beta testers, Woody, lost a long fight with his health on 02-15-07, leaving behind a wife, daughter, and numerous friends. Woody`s association with us began as a beta tester for the Warfront mod and he joined BGF after the merger. While we feel the loss of a member, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family. He was a loving husband and a doting father, and our thoughts and prays go out to his family during this trying time. We know that Woody has gone on to a better place, free of the pain and hardships of this world, and for this we are thankful. Rest in Peace, brother.

Our thoughts and prayers as well go out to the family of Woody.

he lost a long-time battle with cancer, and he was 56 (08-18-50). You can read much more about how much he contributed to the online gaming community by visiting http://www.laidbackcrew.com/ . Dennis was a founding member of the LBC, and a thread has been started in their forums for people to post their rememberance thoughts/remarks/etc.

R.I.P. Woody. My heart-felt condolences to your family, BGF, and LBC. I never got to meet you, but I can tell by how your team remembers you with such respect that the entire mod world is better from your input, your friendship, and your camaraderie.
