ModLight: Point of Existence 2

EA has posted up a new modlight article today, this time focusing on the Point of Existence 2 mod. Take a look:

Today we are to highlighting a Battlefield 2 modification that most people who play mods have already heard about. If you are an old time battlefield player Point of Existence probably doesn’t need an introduction but if you are new to the game here is a pleasant surprise for you. Point of Existence is a complete conversion mod that with lethal weapons that provides an exciting game play experience.

This mod is one of the oldest with its roots in Battlefield Vietnam pitting Russia against USA but in Point of Existence 2 the warring parties has been changed to Ukraine and Germany and the theatre of war replaced with Eastern Europe. The battle takes place a couple of years into the future with weapons that have a contemporary look and feel.

I'm pretty sure the PoE boys will get more use out of the MotY award than EA's Modlight advertising. :laugh: WTG EA!!

hell, almost No one is playing PoE2 anymore. It's still a great mod and I love playing it. I hope more people will come back to it soon.

i bet the player base doubles this week. yea it sucks so few people are playing an absolute masterpiece of gaming,it makes me sad :cry: i think if more people would just try it they would get hooked in a heartbeat, hopefully thats what will happen with this mod spotlight.

Good stuff!

I remember seeing a server population graph showing before and after one of the previous modlights, and trust me, it makes a difference, that mod tripled in player population after its modlight.

Good work EA, you guys finally figured out how to use the <a> tag to actually add a LINK to the mod website! Golf clap, maybe next time you could actually play the mod perhaps

POE2 is a great addition to BF2. I play at tactical gamer quite often, and will continue to.
