Thanks DCON team, I hope the for the best, but damn its been a long time.

It has been along time.. plagued with team troubles and what not in the start then you add the fact that we just learned to do this stuff and then you have to recreate the feel of DC and the game play aspects of it all.. Its alot of stuff to do and worry about. We're happy with what we've achieved so far and more to come.

Hi,when DC came out I just about stoped playing BF.Than when BF2 came out I went with that now I'm trying to get into BF2142 but I don't like the unlocks and the weapons just don't feel right to me.So I am REALLY looking forward to DC.Its been a long time but I'm comeing back to DC.Also I thought that the DC team went to EA and helped with BF2.Then I've read that they started a company thats making a game called Frontlines:Fuel Of War.Anybody else hear that?

we do not pretend to be Trauma, we merely liked what they did and decided to remake it for Battlefield 2,

Howdy all!! Nursing the sore muscles and bruises I got from my game this weekend. Just wanted to give ya a heads up on whats going on in the mod. Animations for the weapons that are needed so we can put rc9 together are almost done. SNM has been busting *** on this stuff and it takes some time to get them right. I'm glad he's as thorough as he is. Great job SNM. I believe its just the anims and a few minor little things that are left and we'll have RC9 ready for testing. The PR team is preparing a media blitz for you all shortly, but they are really waiting for RC9 as well. They are, however, prepping for it with the current RC8.2. They can use some stuff from the current RC to prepare some media. Matter of fact, they are meeting this evening to flesh that all out.
When we recieve the new RC we'll be testing the heck out of it trying to break it of course, and if its good you all will have it. Most of our bugs have been hammered out over the previous versions so we just had a smaller number to deal with this past go round. Hopefully, 9 will be virtually bug free and we'll be good to go then.
The media blitz, as I said, will be flowing shortly culminating with a preview trailer at the end. Just to make it clear. Server files will be released earlier than the mod so that server operators can prep them and have them up and running for when the mod is released. No date has been set as of yet and I probably wont. But its VERY soon. Hang tight. We'll be back with more news over the next couple of days and weeks. Dont want to miss it!

What also delayed us is that we wanted the game play mechanics there. We went through alot of crap to get it similar to 42's mechanics. Some instances are left in from bf2 namely the sprint and afterburners on the planes. Few other things as well. We have to cater to both sides. However it plays so well as far as gameplay is concerned.Its so weird to be playing with dumbfire again. But yet such a relief to be using skills again as well to make kills in a plane or with your rpgs and what not.
As I said we spent alot of time trying to get it to this point and that took up alot of our time for this development cycle. Kiffs arty coding is just a feat of python coding in this engine. Its amazing! Plus all the other game play modes that you can run on the maps to keep them fresh. LV domination is an utter blast.

I REPEAT NO WHERE WAS IT STATED THAT DCON WOULD BE OUT THIS WEEK! We are testing an expected test build over the next few weeks which was supposed to be ready this week but its not. We're waiting on a few things like a couple animations.. We have couple weeks of hardcore testing to do before we release and if no major bugs that would be detrimental to game play are found then we'll be golden.

Well were in the home stretch ya'll. Final build is being compiled in the next week from what I can tell

the release of the release is almost released but in teaser form and not for you :laugh:
