I would rather do a full patch because I've seen too many people have install problems with incremental. I always choose the full version anyway.

Since this post was originally made in February, I'd say the bug "surprise" is the Highway Tampa map that we got back in the begining of June. :shock:

I honestly don't believe this is a real news release by EA. I think someone pulled one over on the Total network. Check out the URL. It's very odd and comes back to some company based out of Massachusetts.

I bet the Highway Tampa map is the last content you will ever see for BF2. EA/Dice are now more interested in 2142, Bad Company and hopefully BF3 for PC in the future. I can't imagine they will have much time left to support BF2. At least there are some good mods coming out with Forgotten Hope 2 and AIX etc...

tbh there bleed the BF series dry, its about time they knocked it on the head and moved onto a totally new game. and as far as adds in games if they are getting paid to advertise in games then they should give the game away free.

I'm no expert on how businesses operate but I do know that I do not wish to play a game with ads. That's my personal preference.

Because of that I have not - nor will I ever - purchase BF 2142...or any other game with RL ads.

I play games to get away from that crap. If you don't mind it - good for you...but I think the gaming community sent a very clear message to the industry: WE DON'T CARE IF YOU PUT ADS IN OUR GAMES.

Hope you enjoy that castle in your next MMO with a Pepsi logo splashed on the wall.
