The team behind the Battlefield Podcast site have released episode 40 of their series today. This new episode chats about BF2 mod updates. Here's what they had to say:

Well it's official, folks. EA and DICE have announced the upcoming booster pack for Battlefield 2142, entitled: Northern Strike! The booster pack will contain 3 new maps, 1 new gamemode, 10 new unlocks, and 2 new vehicles. We talk you through the official announcement, accompanying press release, watch the official trailer and screenshots, and of course give you our humble opinion on what we can see so far. We have a special guest who gives his input on this booster pack as well, Imran, producer and host of our QuakeWars Podcast joins us and we're going to see if he can be convinced to switch to Battlefield 2142 with this booster pack.

Bruce Hung is back with yet another special preview of another game. Crysis! We've got some very interesting mod updates, Battlefield 2142 cracking the Top 10 most sold games, and some commander tips sent in by one of our viewers.

We've got Heekwon's Frappr Shoutouts, announcements, and much more. We also want to remind you of the benefits that Premium Subscribers receive (high resolution video, private forum, etc), and early releases of the audio version!

Another publicity stunt. Expansion packs are not worth my money - I didn't even bought BF2142, for starters.
