Agreed. Which is a shame, because BF2142 has a superior engine, everything looks better, and you can do more with it. Even the terrain detail textures blend better.

the thing is BF2 & BF2142 are built off the same engine. But yet BF2 still runs bad. Anyway, if anyone gets board of the BF engine may I suggest armed assault?

I guess you'd know better than me, but to my eyes, the game really doesn't look any better. Maybe it's the bland environments that Digital Illusions made, or, the much more varied, brighter BF2 ones.

BF2142 is basicly the same engine with a few small improvements. thats really it. ET:QW is a superior engine, you are able to shoot off wheels on cars etc in that game

2142 is the same engine with numerous shader improvements, other improvements such as the terrain detail meshes blending better, and code improvements which allow for more possibilities for mods, such as destructible children, for a start.
