Excellent point not many of you kids and elders understand. Its a great opportunity to have a chance to add something to your resume, that actually has weight and which you can achieve without the need of right connections.

Im interested in seeing this go through, good job MyIS.

yeah but how many hours does a 45 sec commercial take to make, including research / shooting scenes / editing and of course the costs of getting good software to do it (lol) - cuts the prize money down somewhat to the level of minimum wage...eh

But heh, its one of those things aint it - people will do this kinda stuff because they enjoy it, and want the creds - a wee bit more genorisity with the prize would have been better though - perhaps getting a little something off a sponsor for a 3 sec slot on the commercial would have been cool

much like we paid $10 per knife kill and EA paid $0 for their event AFTER ours. .......

i saw no-one griping to them about it :salute:

take it or leave it ... your call :P no-one is forcing anyone to do anything. ..... TBH i thought the $100 was an awesome gesture on our part ....... much like putting these forums in place for you to peruse .........

ya'd think that would make a diff .... give back to those that give to you :salute:

how many opportunities have you had to get your work published? .... i know people that pay for that to happen ... nvm getting paid

yes, crrrazzzy (i think i got the r's and z's right :P) you are exactly right, why complain, it's FREE MONEY, basically :) . If you don't want it, don't try / don't accept it, but hey, I'd like it if i win :P

In the long run, that 100 bucks isnt worth more than the 100 bucks you work for, or get as allowance, or win by a lottery. That 100 bucks will just make your time worth something by going to the movies, or buying a new game. But in the long run, havning an extra thingy to put into your CV, thats worth sh!tload.

Im not a MyIS fanboy, but what they do is very nice.

Ill give it a go, not for the money but because I love editing and I think I have an idea of what I wanna do for this, btw can I use music from other games or does everything have to be original(created by me)

Your going to have to get full permission from whoever owns the rights to that music and pay to use it...

I'd love to take part in this opportunity! It isn't every day that you can get a company to consider a submission, let alone request them! While we are on the subject of time/money...I sure could use a job! when it says that part of the criteria is it being 45 seconds long, can i be a little bit shorter. is like 30-45 seconds, or longer than 45? that part is a little confusing

edit: well mine is just under 45 seconds and i just finished it tonight.
