A new dev journal has been posted today over at the Battlefield Pirates 2 mod website along with a message of happy new years to everyone. Take a look:

Ahoy BFP2 fans! The team is very aware that its been forever since our last public update. Many of us have been hard at work, including straight thru Christmas, getting content fixed and placed in-game ... and I've been cutting reams of video for our big holiday update for you all to enjoy. We will be showing off the latest WIP on a map called Storm the Bastion with a few extra goodies and will have it up very soon.

I must apologize though - due to a family emergency, I must put that update down for about a week so I can drive cross country to take care of an important personal matter. However, I will have a final cut together and hosted as soon as I get back. Scout's honor - thanks for being patient and hanging in there. (We leaked a few vids already in case you havent already found em).

So ... before I head out, I thought I could at least put up my first ever Dev Journal giving you a sneak peek at the process of putting a BF2 mod map together. (Some of you beta testers have seen some of this, but bear with me). Read more...

Number one seems to have vannished into oblivion. As far as i know no ones found it, me included.

A much better video is currently being filmed, which should have player models etc weapons etc in, which we'll release offically if we ever get round to it.

Good lord guys - you picked probably the worst sections of text and images to preview up here ... but thanks for spreading the word though.

Note, the new video will most likely not have the new player models or weapons in it as we're still having problems rigging the character wrists to the weapons. But, there will be lots of other new goodies (new ships, cannons, destroyable objects, etc) so hold onto your panties - I'll get something out as soon as I get home (tentatively this weekend).

This is a fantastic update. The dev journal is a must read for anybody involved in the mod scene on any level be it beginner or experienced.

I'm floored by your content as well. It's so fresh and original. Looking forward to your first release.
