this team is an insult for the bf2 community
they continue to provok the community in their answer.

there is a minimum of respect between members of the same community,
and i hope they get the lesson now ...

I’m probably not the only one who feels this way, but the more I see MOD devs go after each other like POE/SIR the less interested I get downloading their latest updates or even downloading/playing their mod.

In all my yrs of modding,and beleive me theres lots,"old fart,I am" I've never seen a community so bent on themselves.
I mean this has to be the most tightwaded/un coopertive mod communities(BF series) Ive ever been part of.

You stole that, he stole this,I did it first,therefor its mine......... Baaaaaaa

I mean go look into some of the other gaming/mod communities. There's all sorts of sharing this,sharing that, offering files for D/L or mini-mods soully created for samples or examples. Helping each other out and for one common goal, To have fun! What an idea!

I remember when i first got into the mod scene, its was a large group of guys from all over the globe, just creating models,skins,code for everyone to D/L stick into there .paks,.bps or what ever format so we all could enjoy and have fun.

I guess them days are long gone.

this topic is not about sharing, (sharing works well in the community, at least for bss),

it's just about guys who take models from an other mod, stamp as them as if they have done them and don't ask to the other mod before to use them.
they asked only after the thief was revealed, i wouldn't call that respect ...


If you want to take a model from a mod, a minimum is to give credits to the original creator and then ask them the permission.
This has always been the rule to pay respect to the creator in every modding communities !

Thats why PR, USI, EOD and many other mods are part of BSS. So we can share stuff, more than just models and skins, but also knowledge and talent between our mod teams.

We just get very pissed off when we see our stuff, being used in a mod that never asked us or gave us any kinda info that they would like to use it, and would it be ok. Instead they just took first, ask questions later.

I dunno about you, but that seems kinda crappy to me. We all willing to share stuff, PR and USI have already set up a very solid relocation ship where we have already shared loads of stuff like USI have gave us there A-10, we've given them a little bird etc.

If this mod had asked us in the first place, we would have considered it for sure. But as they didn't even ask, then when they found out they didn't bother to reply to our emails etc, this is why we had to go public.

I think the fact that BSS exists proves you wrong with mods being uncooperative....Now i neither have the time or patience to map/model etc but if i did and someone took that work for themselves i would be mighty pissed..If you wrote a song and someone took credit you would be facing each other in court,shouldn't be any different in the modding world..
BBS only ask to asked first,it's common courtesy to do so before using something and make sure that credit is given to the 'artist'..
doing neither is taking the piss...

Mach10 is not with PoE and has not been for sometime. His title has just not been changed. I have asked the mods to change his title to avoid any confusion.

That was not DCX. It was some DC EXCDBFGAEIOU812 mod or something. It was a mini mod of a mini mod or some crazy thing like that. It was not DCX or DCR. DC had a million mini mods I think. lol, but the people who ripped PoE off basicly got banished from all the news sites and nobody would host their files. I am sure the same will happen with these guys.

What OS did was ridiculous. You guys at BSS did the right thing by going public.
Even with a language barrier, translators are a dime a dozen. (They may suck, but they get the message across)

<Still laughing> Thanks D.. its as true as hell comment as I've ever seen.. I remember back in the day the same stuff.. People sharing and so forth.. Problem is now.. alot of people are using this stuff to help them get noticed by the games industry.. Its become ultra competitive. This is mainly why DCON hasnt released when everyone else has or been begging us to.. We're not in a competition. We're here for fun and to learn something.. Shame that others have to take and not ask before the do so. As far as Mach's issue with the Sir community.. I wont even comment there.. Take it elsewheres. Guys first and foremost.. If you cant generate the work.. Ask someone to help out.. Most mod teams are willing to help one another out to some degree if they can. Some of the teams are quite busy and they will do their best to help you.. Some just cant cause they're smaller in size. Either way.. If you cant make the work then learn to make it. If you cant learn.. Then ask.. If your too lazy to learn it then dont bother. Stay out of the modding scene..

Jesus what a freakin zoo anymore. We've grown out of the childishness thats modding anymore and I'd like to think alot of us in the community have transcended the barriers. I dont know if this was the best avenue for this.. Thats not up to me.. All parties now have to live with the decisions made and accept the consequences.

It's all fixed now though.
