Hello and welcome to another Battlegroup-Frontlines update. Today we present you some renders of our Heinkel He-111H which has been modelled by Jourein and skinned by Postman778. In the He-111H you can see the MG15 which has been modelled by Plutonius and skinned by Bobton. We also have two ingame videos from mapper Benseras showing off one of his maps and the Panzer IIIJ.
The Heinkel He-111H came about from the seventh prototype (designated He-111 V-19) which first flew in January 1939, because of the uncertainty regarding the delivery of the Daimler Benz DB601 engines which were intended to power it (they had been selected for fighter production) the prototype used the Junker Jumo 211A engine. The He-111H entered service powered by 2 Jumo 211A-1 engines (1010Hp), just before the German invasion of Poland on the 1st of September 1939. At the beginning of the war it was being gradually replaced by the He-111H-2 with the more powerful Jumo 211A-3 (1100Hp) engines. The increased power of the new Jumo engines provided the He-111H with a considerable increase in performance and payload over the previous versions. With a total production run of over 7300 examples the He-111 was the workhorse of the Luftwaffe throughout the Second World War serving from 1939 until the end of the war and becoming a ‘jack of all trades’ fulfilling a multitude of roles from regular bomber to torpedo bomber to V1 launching platform.
