Dawn Patrol v0.22 Mod Update + Server Files

The Dawn Patrol mod is back today with their latest update. They have released the server files today with the client coming tomorrow. Take a look:

After the success of our first playtest we proudly present - Public Playtest V0.22. The closest ever to a real Flight Sim in the bf series.

It will be available from your favorites sites on Saturday 25th. Server Files will be made available from Friday. We will post up mirrors here as soon as we have them. Sorry but due to mods current size we cannot host public files.

Playtest 0.22 includes 5 BF2 Map convertions by Pacman with full bot support. 8 Classic WW1 planes. 2 Fantasy planes. Remember - This is a playtest and not a full blown public beta. Some items etc are not yet 100%. Our new map team are hard at work producing some custom maps which will be in the Full release, which we hope to have ready in time for xmas.

Adding the bots makes it crazy LOL. We'll be in our server tomorrow night for the release.

Im sure I will just trying to figure out how to install that

LOL I should read better , just copied and pasted the folder contents into my mod folder, not a great idea, especially when it says its server files, DOH

lol, yea client comes out in less than 24 hours.

Just make sure you remove any exisiting Dawn Patrol folder first. A clean install is the best way at the mo.

For me i find just renaming the existing folder works best, that way i have all versions backed up :)

Its fun, but to call that a "flight sim" is a bit far fetched.

Name another MOD thats more of a flight sim then?

If you cant then that makes this "The closest ever to a real Flight Sim in the bf series." as stated above.

Nothing negative here but IMO it's more "Aerial Combat" BF Style.. A flight sim it's not.. I've played enough of those to have a biased opinion... lol

FH. Has great cockpits, "real feel" handling, moving flaps and a hand modeled on the stick. And the ammunitions run out with real life numbers, requiring reload. And the cockpit shakes when the guns fire. And the plane models are very good.
