The Sir. server has not crashed a single time. I've checked the logs.

Is there any other BS that you'd like to make up and share?

EDIT - You know what? Like I said earlier, this is our final release. Many people have enjoyed this mod thoroughly despite its earlier problems. Now it's 99.7% stable and that's that. There's no patches, no nothing. If you do not like or cannot run it, do not play it. It's a very simple concept. We're not claiming it won't crash, but it hasn't for us, since we fixed it.

darn, can't get it to run. runs through bat file and doesn't load up bf2. Any way i can slow the bat run through to get an error message?

      @ ECHO OFF
      cd ..
      cd ..
      BF2.exe +modPath mods/SirMod +fullscreen 1

that looks all okay... but doesn't work. Nothing appears in the Event Viewer.
running win64, er.. bf2 on the d drive.

Download the installer. Double-click it, hit next a bunch of times. Launch the game from the SHORTCUT on the DESKTOP.

I am the dumbest person on these forums. If I can get it to work, anyone can get it to work. If it does not work, it's your computer, not the mod.

                Re: Sir. Mod v1.0 Released

Most of the crashing is due to Collision problems within the game. When you see someone near a corner and you click a million time to kill them, this may force their ragdoll to fly into a wall or confined space extreamly fast causing the game to crash (E.g gas station roof - No don't go and try it). This mod wasn't made for Battlefield 2. The artillery works the same.

So if in vanilla ranked artillery was fired and it happen kill people in a confined space a couple of times, the same results would follow. Use the weapons wisely.

Make sure you join a server running the correct version. If you crash to desktop when you click join game, it is most likely that you've joined a server running the incorrect version. Two servers I know will work are the Gaming Union (UK based server) and the Sir. Community server (US based server).

Try changing the 1 to 0 and see if the same results follow in full screen mode.
I'll see if I can get a version with just the mod files (Not an installer) for you.

As Sir. bzb mentioned, it is crucial that you uninstall all previous versions of this modification prior to installation.

Thanks for the advice Sir. Shpox but 0 didn't help. If you're questioning the installer i'd appreciate access to the files directly.

Also for the others, bzb, the ip address was missing a digit. 195.149.21:16569 - hopefully i'll get on there soon.

Thank you Geckoman! Beautiful honesty right there.

It's unfortunate that half the people who say the mod sucks or cannot get it working, haven't even played it. It's hard to differentiate between that BS crowd and the crowd that's genuinely having issues with it. So many haters.
