    Remembrance/Veterans Day

    From Europe to North America to Asia, no matter where ever you live. Today is a very special and important day or remembrance of the end to the two greatest wars this planet has seen and the men that fought and fell serving their Countries. This day, one in which most of us will never know the true meaning too and some take for granted I have some media I have come across I would like to share.

    This is a video that moved me while watching it; the video is called “A Pittance of Time”. It is a Canadian video however on this day Canadian, Asian, European, etc it should not matter on this day.

    <div align="center"><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8poZshcDj8g"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8poZshcDj8g" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object></div>

    And here is the song “Last Post” in honour of those who have fallen.

    <div align="center"><object id="MediaPlayer" height="46" width="250" classid="CLSID:22D6f312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112">
    <param name="filename" value="http://www.legion.ca/asp/music/LastPost.WAV">
    <param name="Showcontrols" value="True">
    <param name="autostart" value="False" />
    <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" src="http://www.legion.ca/asp/music/LastPost.WAV" name="MediaPlayer" autostart="0" height="46" width="250"></embed>
    </object></div>

      They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
      Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
      They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
      They fell with their faces to the foe.

      They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
      Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
      At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
      We will remember them.

          Arguably the most important years in history, specifically the events throughout the 1919 Paris Peace Conference.

            Yes it is important not to forget, though people tend to do that.

              very profound movie
              they were truly the greatest generation to live, the sacrifice the men and women made is what has made the world what it is today
              i thank those people with the greatest gratitidue
              more movies need to be made like this because i find less and less people realizing the true meaning of veterans and memorial day...

                            Re: Remembrance/Veterans Day

                            Each has won a glorious grave - not that sepulchre of earth wherein they lie, but the living tomb of everlasting remembrance wherein their glory is enshrined. For the whole earth is the sepulchre of heroes. Monuments may rise and tablets be set up to them in their own land, but on far-off shores there is an abiding memorial that no pen or chisel has traced; it is graven not on stone or brass, but on the living hearts of humanity.

                            Take these men for your example. Like them, remember that prosperity can be only for the free, that freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it.

                              Theres nothing I can say to show my real appreciation for our armed services.

                              My thoughts and thanks go out to all members of the military, for going through times that would break most people.

                              Happy Veterans Day.
