Project Reality v0.4 Player Guide - Part One

Project Reality has posted up part one of a player guide for their upcoming v0.4 mod release. Here's what they had to say:
We have a Project Reality player guide in development for v0.4. We had hoped to have more of it complete ahead of release day, but always intended to release it in "chunks".

Over the next few days we'll wrap up all the sections noted on the wiki.

Here's the link to the first chunk of content we have ready:
    http://prguide.realitymod.com/

The sections that are marked "coming soon" should get filled out over the next couple of days.

Be sure to stay tuned for more. Until then, feel free to drop by their site.

Well you do mate. Stop dying so much and maybe what you want to happen will happen.

Are you saying I am horrible too? Does nobody like the person who sacrifices himself for the fun of it?

interesting read - I'm not sure how well the kit limiting will work if you have to die to get access to it The whole point of a reality mod is to value your life, I would have thought that kit limiting should have worked closer to Day of Defeat where you have a numerical limit to the amount of machine gunners etc. and when they die their kit becomes available to reserve for when you next spawn. On paper it doesn't make sense - I'll wait to see it in action but I doubt that it is the best system from the way it sounds....

You don't have to die to get a limited kit. And if you die with a limited kit, that kit is reserved for you when you spawn in again.

To have access to the Quartermaster's supply of limited kits you must be in a squad. Players not in a squad do not have access to the Quartermaster supply system.
You first need to spawn into the game world using one of the basic soldier kits, then request a kit.
You access the Kit Requisition system using the "T" comm rose.
To request limited kits from the Quartermaster you must be:
                      • less than 25m from a friendly controlled CP or
                      • less than 3m from a friendly APC or
                      • less than 3m from a supply crate
                      • and not in a vehicle
Once spawned and in a squad, access the T comm rose and click on one of the kit types.
So what happens then, the guide isn't clear on this
Do you instantly change from say a rifleman to an Anti Air infantry, do you have to pick up a newly spawned kit or what?

The kit you selected is placed on the ground directly below you.

so you press 'g' to pick it up? gotcha
Does the anti tank rifleman for the US Army/Marines get an SMAW or are we stuck with a LAW?

Good guide, support and sniper lamers were really annoying in PR as that's all you saw (no pun intended >_>)

With the kit limiting, it'll make things more interesting. Too bad over 80% of their forums still talk about one thing only. Sniping.
