I really don't think there is another map, the word would have leaked already. Everyone knew a month ago about 1.41 and by the same method, we would have learned of a new map.

Colin has yet to provide any more updates on the Community Ranked Map Program yet. That discussion has been on the table for a long time now.

I would think most anything they do with 2142 server stability stuff could easily be retrofitted to BF2 server stuff.

As for BF2/2142 engine cross coding, we would need to hear that direct from DiCE how portable their stuff is.

1.41 is where everyone has the remaining unlocks unlocked and they turn off the ranking system and stat tracking. Nothing major.

1.41 a "Finalized" patch. Nice that means no more patches for it.

And yes this is all relevant for any BF webpage regardless if new or old, 2142 is the newest venture why shouldn't it be posted here? It is after all a BF update, not just a BF2 update

Nice News nonetheless... finally the building block EA needs is to have a weekly update, not a quarterly one. They are learning it looks like.

OMFG, if EA screws 1.41 up... Im going to kill them. (not literally). I cant believe it took almost 3 months go to get any info to us on the next patch. It'll probably be delayed about 10 times so expectit out sometime next year. (this is only based on EA's history)

I honestly hope they don't do much in 1.41, because if they do, and screw it up, it's debatable whether they are continuing support after this patch, and us BF2 players would be left pretty unhappy

It'd be nice for some minor bug fixes, stability, and a some server browser fixes that are implemented in 2142, please, please god.

This site always posts alot of 2142 crap at the front. I don't really care if Tbf2142 is getting low traffic and you'll reach out to more people here. Whatever you want it's your site. No point in pissing everyone off on purpose though.

lol that's quite the silly comment to make. We don't need any traffic for Total BF2142 seeing as that site has 3000 more active members than this one. And what do you mean we post stuff ALL the time for 2142 here? The only thing that I could see where you are getting that is Battlefield Podcast and now this post...except you can't count this post considering it includes news for BF2. What's wrong with posting up the DICE community update in it's entirety? Does it hurt that much to also then look at information about BF2142? Honestly now...what's the big deal? :|:

Well for starters, the reason most of us are still here is because the thought of that traincrash Bf2142 is offensive to alot of us lol
But that's neither here nor there - I guess that if it is not BF2-alone related it doenst need to be shown like in this newspost, if you wanted to read the whole thing including the BF2142 info you could have simply given a direct link

So you're saying that not one person on TotalBF2 likes Battlefield 2142? That they also wouldn't want to read about that news? Does it hurt that much to have an entire community update posted here...

You don't see people on TBF2142 saying well you could've just posted the 2142 stuff and taken out the BF2 news. :p

Even in this thread you have seen people such as Apostle who don't have a problem with 2142 news stuff being posted. And it's not like we are posting news about a 2142 mod or a 2142 review or anything on TBF2...it's a community update for all the Battlefield series.

it's not a problem that I personally have - it's simply pragmatism, if it does not concern BF2 then it does not concern TBF2
mostly I just don't really care, I come here for the community not for the frontpage
