releasing unfinished beta's is a mods suicide(mostly because most people are too god damn stupid to realize its just a beta and b*tch and moan about this and that)

The FH guys have a HUGE reputation that they have to fulfill and releasing an unfinished product just to not lose some impatiant fans will in the end lose more players because most people will be associating FH with that one buggy first release and wont bother to download it....

god I hate repeating myself on these boards...

Never surprised to see this level of quality from the FH DEVs. It is inspiring to say the least. FH will easily make it into my BF2 mod collection.

People seem to forget that FH2 is not limited by any commercial restraints. Its not just going to suddenly "die out".

As for this update, it was sweet. My FH2 team I have under my command in my clan is called LRDG (its had that name since it was originally founded for the first FH mod), so its nice to have an official vehicle in the game. :laugh:

100% right. Noone wants to play mods in the beginning. Look at DC's first releases as a perfect example. Usually the stigma of the first release is overcome. It just takes a while.:|:

and comepletely no offense to the RC team as Ive loved your work so far, its just people saw your release and though "ooh a new mod is released, what does beta mean? oh well, I wonder if it will match up to POE...."

Then the b*tching and moaning starts "wahh this isnt balanced, or wahh this sucks...." and the team gets alot of flack, thats why waiting longer and releasing a more complete product is the way to go. You may lose a few impatiant people along the way, but you will gain a much more solid community in the long run.

How about some in game movies?
Or better yet, how about an estimated release date. I'm figure say.. a year from now or so? Is that too long or is that just right?

Funny how people who develop software haven't figured out a good way to gauge the projected amount of work it will take. It's not like your coding a new engine or anything so it really isn't that difficult.

How about this, my mom always said however long you expect something to take double it and you'll probably be right.

I'll play it when it comes out and I'm sure it will be good fun. But everyone on here that defends this nonsense in development is why you now get paid to beta test games. The mod community is just a less organized extension of the real deal.
