Point of Existence 2 Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Point of Existence 2 mod website. Here's what they had to say:

As many know, Melugo and KMKZ have been working hard to implement a stat tracking system. Our system is not tied to rewards but rather just a way for players to track their stats and see how they are doing globally against other PoE players. You can go check your stats now as most servers are now set up running the tracking program.

Next up we have some screenshots from Greasy Mullets latest map set in the Crimea region of Ukraine. On this map players will either assault or defend the rocky beach as well as other areas in this mountainous region. Here are some work in progress screenshots for you.

New maps are always good, nice one. looks like a death trap for infantry near that water, lol.

Stats and such are lame, but the ladies will probably get excited about it.
looks like BF2 stat pages, like bf2s sort of.

Hmm, I hope we get some fast amphibious assault crafts for this map, that would be badass. Also, with those sweet villages I certainly hope it turns out to be primarily infantry combat (since thats where PoE really shines.)

PoE stats are different from BF2 stats, as far as I know.

They only track kill/death and win/loss type stats, theres no medal hunting and rank whoring.

The PoE stats are cool, with additions such as a 'killed by' section and the ability to break down the weapons etc into what side you were on, to see ur success with weapons and kits for each army. Not a fan of the medal pi$h myself, but do like seeing the stat side of things.

As for the map, Greasy looks quality, looking forward to playing it - didnt see a lot of vehicles in the map, is it going to be infantry only or what vehicles will it have?

Just to clear up some things.
There will be NO ingame awards, ranks, medals, badges or any of that garbage. This is a bftracks style stats package, you go to the poestats site and you can see how you are performing and compare yourself to other players.
The beta system has tracked almost 3000 players so far on some select servers, see our forums to find out which ones are currently tracking.

Nice map, but NAW has a map called Greasy Mullet so you might want to check with them about the name - probably don't care if it is so similar in name but the maps are totally different.
