Cool. My suggestion though; change the rocket trails. BF2's rocket trails look seriously lacking. I suggest a nice smoky trail! :P

Looks brilliant, I see no reason to change or alter anything. Please dont waste any time on small points or changes that wont effect the game. Unless its to make the vehicles operate as close to the DC versions as possible, then, do it.

I like these kinds of updates. Its more like a behind the scenes tour.

I agree. Although I think they are on a code-freeze for tweaking/testing for the time being.

Yes, this is true. If you want something out to play, SOME things will have to remain BF2 for now.

the best way to guage it (what they did in the BF42 Desert Combat) is to not only look at the blueprints and scale - but also take a good look at the pictures and create reference points that interact like a crossword puzzle interacts with different words.

the best reference point in pictures of M109s for barrell length - is where the barrell attaches to the bipod (do they call it a bipod) during transport.

Check this pic and look again at the DCon pics.

The most acurate way to determain the scale and placement of a object is by comparing it to orthgraphic images.

What your saying is that it's nessary to add in a factor that doesn't provide scaling currectly to the human eye. Now, if you wanted to further your knolegde you can look up things like perspective distrotion.

Here's a heads up. ALOT of the blue prints/orthographic images you find online are going to be inacurate. They are going to lack detail. Thats where "reffrence photos" come into play. Thats where you take photos and match marking to the best of your ability. Not the total scale of a object. -Hemimotorz

Cool, but isnt the blackening effect on the barrels of the rocket launcher backwards? They wouldn't be burnt out in the front when the fire is mostly caused by backblast burning the rear of the tubes.

The rocket exhaust blasts the front of the tubes once it has fully exited. There would be quite a build up after many launches. This is the effect that we went for.
