The BattleStar 2142 mod recently sat down with Jerry Hopper of Webturd and conducted an interview. Here's what they had to say:

With a Battlefield 2142 release, Webturd decided to put up the followup interview, along with some exclusive images from BS2142.

They talk about the finalization of the website ( www.battlestar2142.com ) the dual release, BF2/2142 and, the team explains why the name was changed, and what cool things are coming in the future.

Without a real date of release of BS2142 for Battlefield 2, despite several attempts of jerry you can be sure its soon! The team handed over some work in progress pictures, including some images of the MK5 and its first test flight in Battlefield 2142 engine.

The reason its posted here as well is because we are releasing a BF2 and BF2142 version,but the mod name is BS2142...http://battlestar2142.com/

I'm really really glad your going to be making some kind of battlestar mod for bf2 i was so gutted when you said you were moving to bf2142 (Ive been following this mod since the beginning). I'm in a dilemma now though i really don't want buy bf2142 because i really don't like it i honestly think its naff.

I'm a BSG freak though so i want to play the full mod with all the funky stuff in it maybe ill wait till bf2142 goes really cheap bargain bucket sort of thing and the full mods out ahh frack i don't know what to do now.

Such a cool mod. Shame they are moving to 2142 since most people are not getting the 2142 mod.

Glad to hear something came from RoK. the RoK alpha test was a blast though I think it gave me carpal tunnel from using the hat switch on my joystick so much.

Any of you who missed the RoK release should look into it. IMO it was the most innovative conversion of BF2 that has happened in the mod scene. I hope you guys stay space-flight oriented. Shame you're focusing on 2142 since we're boycotting that crap. Glad to hear BF2 versions will continue though!

Good luck with the 2142 version, DICE has already patched it! The game has yet to be out for a full 48 hours and already DICE is bugging it up with its patches!

I am interested in the BF2 version though
