Posted today over in the Allied Intent Forums is an announcement of an add-on mod being created called Allied Intent Xtended. Here's what they had to say:

Well most of you know that Allied Intent is finished and dis-banded. A few of you know that a couple of us are still continuing on with a mod using Allied Intent .2 as our base. Well to make things clear, welcome to the AI-X forums! (Allied Intent Xtended)
Why a new name? Well the development team of Allied Intent was basically cut in half by members moving on, due to various personal reasons and real life issues. For the sake of prosperity and keeping the .2 release of Allied Intent intact as it was designed, it was decided to make a seperate mod called AI-X that would not alter the original Allied Intent Mod at all.
Thus AI-X was born from the desire of clivewil, dasroach and myself to continue building new content purely in a single player direction. What does this mean for you? Well you still get the amazing AI and content of Allied Intent plus additional vehicles, weapons and maps. This is a low-key collaborative effort aimed squarely at the bfsp crowd and the sp community in general.
