Battlefield Veteran's Program Update

The Battlefield 2 Veterans program has now been live for a month, and so far well over 120,000 veterans have signed up for service. There is still chance to register as a veteran. All Battlefield 2 players are qualified for the program and can reserve their soldier's name before Battlefield 2142 ships. Veterans will also receive an immediate promotion and an exclusive in-game indicator of their Veterans status. Sign up and claim your rewards now. More info...

Invalid Letters in my User name pretty much discourages me from signing up, our squad only uses two types of punctuation both of which is rejected by the system. I would not be playing 2142 anyways but it was worth a try.

I signed up weeks ago... but aren't you supposed to get your taunt thing for BF2 right away? Or do you get it for BF2142 when its released?

For BF2142, only Taunts are there, EA isn't gonna give a patch to allow that in BF2.

the taunt only works if you have 2142 installed, and its for bf2

So once 2142 is realeased and its installed, you can taunt in bf2

"The promotional taunt is used in Battlefield 2 but requires that Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 to be installed. Simply use the Spot command on a dead enemy and the taunt can be heard.

The rules for how often it can be used are governed by the server’s radio spam settings in the same manner as all player messages. So if you do not hear it every time, this may be the reason why."

Signed up the day we were allowed. Except I am using a whole new name, since I'm bored of this one.

EA must really want us to buy this game, they must have taken those "Where never buying a BF series game again" threats seriously.

Some1ones has frkin stole my name cuz if i wanted to sign up then everything was correct and i pushed accept r ok and it sayd:"your bf2 account is already used by someone" i tryed to sign first time in the veterans program!

The taunts are already ingame (BF2). Sometimes when I spot people, I hear my guy laughing.
A friend of mine told me, he heard me laughing while I didnt so i guess its random.

Im not sure about 2142 but it wont let me have RJW or R.J.W so i may have to go with =[MI5]=RJW as i am the clan leader and i dont plan on going into any other clans i dont think even if we do go down the drain :) Any suggestions???
