WOW, ea is doing 1.4 patch, bf 2142 this bad company new game and probably some other stuff we dont know about, no wonder they suck the do too much at the same time and thats how products lose quality. money hungry bastards!
You cant take EA down a few pegs by posting in forums. They dont read, nor do they care about such a small percentage of gamers out there. Most of the kids who play games in the world dont join these forums, and dont get so emotionally involved in the titles they buy.
Thats like McDonalds changing thier menu just because the vegetarians think the food is unhelathy. McDonalds is the most money making food producer in the world, and thier food is undoubtedly the worst ever. Food for Thought?
^^^ That's exactly what's going on. ^^^
So sitting around here whining about it isn't going to do a darn thing. EA no longer gives a crap about what the BF community says. Right now they've got a great reputation going with the general public, that they don't really need the BF community at all anymore.
What they're doing is working right now (and will continue to work for the next 6-12 months) but give them 2-3 years... My bet is that BF Franchise will be completely dead. I don't care though, it's their loss... and besides, I'll have Crysis. :P

It's been known for sometime that they're releasing two new games in 2007.
As for all the comments about consoles, the Swedish press release says that info on the PSP and PC versions is coming later
Hmm...well maybe while we were complaining and such, EA was coming up with really good stuff, the kind that shouldn't have many bugs when purchased...hopefully. Its EA...They'll do whatever they want.
Fully destructible environments? Forgive me for being cynical, but Battlefield has never had a good track record of destructible environments. When your plane hits a tree and blows up, the tree is still there. Fully destructible players and vehicles maybe, but I wouldn't count on seeing anything on the scale of Black in Battlefield: Bad Company.
Alright, this pisses me off, these people's choice to continue the BF franchise on consoles will not only be bad for us PC gamers because we're stuck with an unimaginative 2142 game, but bad for the company as the real Battlefield community who buys their games is right here on the PC. Why can't they make a next gen Battlefield game for the PC, is that really so hard. Now don't flame me I know another company is making Bad Company but they're still carrying the Battlefield name and took the time to liscence it. I think a lot of gamers would really appreciate having fully destructable environments and a graphically hopped up game engine first instead of consoles. Why do consoles get the treats and goodies first, PC battlefielder's were here first. I've been playing since the introduction of 1942 and now they're pulling crappy half-*** community support and crappy futuristic games with the same engine of the last installment. While at the same time Crytek is developing Crysis with an engine to support DX10 and Vista, that's the game that'll be getting my money, not only because they're thinking ahead with incredible graphics, but because they're introducing a new game mode called Power Struggle, read up on it and you'll be sold too, kicks the Battlefield formula's ***. All i'm saying is PC Battlefield needs a total new refresher, not a total conversion mod and a new game mode.
PC battlefield might be getting a refresher, but it may not be for the best. We could only hope they don't use this to cut costs on making the next bf engine....
The increasingly ubiquitous Unreal Engine has added another name to its lengthy list of publisher licensees. Electronic Arts and game-and-technology developer Epic Games today announced a licensing agreement to allow Epic's Unreal Engine 3 technology to power a number of next-generation games. The publisher will add the engine, along with its own internal tools, to the production process of game projects that are currently in development.
now say if they could get their hands on that project offset engine and start on there, that would be a good thing
