Just to make things a little more clearer,
There is nothing from Stock BF:2 in PoE:2 besides a few military/Industry type statics.

With the exception of the MI-17, rpk, and svd right?

Heh, he wasn't talking literally.

You will find the majority of the stuff in POE is completely new, with a few exceptions.

Custom sounds, music, voices, models, skins, statics, code

And this is just our first release

im just poking a little jab at dice, nothing more, i understand without them wed have no poe but we also wouldnt be paying for a server that crashed 32 times in the last 24 hours, hehehehe, our server activity bar looks like one of diick chenneys heart monitors, hehehe....

How did you guys get german/ukranian voices (ie: enemy boat spotted in german/ukrainian) do you guys hire actors?

Same with guns sounds, you guys actually have to get every gun, put a mic near it and fire? I dunno, it just seems really.....alot of work. Unless there's something else you do, but i'm just intruiged about how all this is done. Especially sounds, it's always been a mystery of how they get all the sounds for a game...even moreso for a mod that's being done for free.

Edit: Spelling mistakes in there i know, i'm more bothered to write this edit then correct them

POE team. How are the sounds in your lovely mod? I hate Bf2 sounds. I hope you guys do well in that department, cause to me, sounds is the most important thing.

How is it that people can be this good and not get paid is beyond me .

Its simple, they arent employed by anybody and are doing this for free, like every other MOD team out there. Lots of the guys on these teams are hoping for a gig out of this, kind of like the trauma DC merger I would guess.

The main problem seems to be that this is much like the music biz. There are tons of amazing artists out there that will never see that side of the coin. There just arent enough slots to give all the talented groups real contracts.

If enough people donwload and play this, maybe something like that could happen. I dont picture those kinds of numbers, but I do think this and a few other MODs will give BF2 a much longer shelf life, and hopefully put some life back into what has become a dreadfull tournament world.

They're using DICE's German (as in OPK) and their own for Russia/Ukraine.
