We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

woot cant wait for this patch, I just cant wait to see all the new bugs. The best part is discovering all the new crap they f'd up and nerfed =) shall be fun
Yeah, thnks so much for the appreciation of testing 1.4 and writing several bugs on it( i.e. contributing in a professional manner - i have worked professionally testing for apple ) only to be told today that only fileplanet subscribers will get to test the beta, well all i say is good luck, thanks for pi$$ing us off, and we know that bf2142 will be a load of $hit due to this
DICE/EA will not get a cent off me with this crap, and working hard not to turn this into a swearing message, you can keep your 2142 and **** it up your ***
Dude. It's a marketing ploy. It's an open beta, but what fileplanet did was make an obscurely worded announcement on their site to fool you into thinking only members could get the beta. From everything I've read, this is a common practice - for one place to get an initial beta, then a very short time after, it's released to the general public. Unfortunately EA hasn't made any official clairification on this so they can help fileplanet bring in more subscribers. They're probably getting a cut of the profits.
In order for them to restrict it to only fileplanet subscribers, they'd need to link the BF2142 account server with the fileplanet server so that they'd know the person connecting is a fileplanet subscriber.
So, relax. You'll get to beta test 2142 if you have the desire to.
Yay! i havnt had problems with 1.3 But im glad that this will give me the new map and unlocks on unranked servers :)

fair enuf people whine, but if i feckin tested beta 2 and the reason they asked the public to test it was to ensure integration testing would solve the CTD problem, not if the only ones testing beta for 2142 is some form of priveleged has more money than sense being then what does this say about both bf2 and 2142, it says:
1. We asked the public to test bf 1.4 beta to ensure its a quality product compared to the under tested 1.3
2. For 2142 we will take a subset of the public again as we did for 1.3 to test it, because hey, they are better than you and will give us so much more feedback because theeyre privledged and you are not because you dont pay fileplanet every month
I wonder if they've fixed the random distance marker that appears in the ground?
I wonder if they've fixed the C4 chucking exploit?
I wonder if they've fixed the Karkand glitch?
I wonder if the server browser will work, work better, at all?
I wonder if they've fixed the minor issue that you cannot click ribbons in BFHQ (which they broke in 1.2 patch, I believe)?
These are all I can think of at the moment. Is there any other "I wonder"'s that you guys can't wait to have answered?
Only a few more days, and we'll know for sure. My guess though, like usual, they'll break as much as they fix! Sorry DICE, I just don't have faith in you anymore. I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

didn't you play the BETA2.
omg nice delays out there.
I can see it al:
normal people who don't use are just ****ed up and all the macro's user can use there stuf.
lol at costing 15 dollars to beta test 2142 no thx
Its a great idea, or? The player pay for the game and for new maps. The clans pay the expensive ranked servers over "trusted partners" .
And now: Gamespy/Filefront should get a piece of the cake too (Betatest for using the login via GameSpy is over and works now fine). So give them new subscribers for testing BF2142. Thats the deal.
I must concede: no money get lost. Next step: pay for patches or unlocks?
I am sure, that someone at EA has such wired ideas for the future...

Wonder if they fixed the random unexplained death bug. Sometimes i just die for no reason without an explanation at the top of the screen. It doesnt even say "is no more"
I hope the server crashes are fixed, as this is really making me angry.
Also i hope they have fixed the teamkilling parachutes. I hate it when me and a teammate jumps from a wall and get teamkilled by our parachutes.
