Is it just me or why do I suspect a conspiracy amongst the big mods out there to withold the release of their mods on purpose? I'm sure by now they have enough quality content to release but I'm sure that they are all waiting for October to come along and two week before the release of BF2142 we will see FH2 and PoE2 come out as a collective F-you to Dice for releasing another game so rapidly thus shortening the life of their mods.

If that's not it, then release those mods soon dammit!

Actually I believe PoE showed off some of their custom player models, but also said they wouldn't be in the first release so all the ingames are of BF2 models reskinned.

Why are you 'sure' they have enough quality content to release? We've seen very few handweapons, not enough statics to make a whole map of say, Tobruk, two German playermodels (they are slightly different, look at the arms), etc etc. That is NOT enough for a release. Believe you me, the FH team will release FH2 when it is done and they are happy with it - no sooner, no later.

What is the difference between a player model and a skin? So I take it that the Human Army Mod players are just re-skinned correct?

Battlefield Apocalypse released their skeleton and blood mini-mod awhile back and the models were skeletons...or or those really just skins?

I'm confused as to what is a model vs what is a skin.

I can't speak for other mods, but we have no desire to make rude gestures to DICE. After all, they made FH1 and FH2 possible in the first place. We do not plan to delay release any longer than we think is needed to deliver a reasonably solid and enjoyable mod. It needs to be something that people will be able to have fun with, and be durable, at least until our second release (which should come a lot quicker than the first). If people don't play FH2 it will be because FH2 sucks, not because of BF2142. Our job is to make sure it doesn't.:)

Looking really forward to this mod, was excellent for 1942 and even if the game play is exactly the same the new models and graphics will bump it up just that bit more.
