    Re: Battlefield 40k Mod Update

Yeah, I don't really know how the Baneblade is going to be crewed, when the vast quantity of weaponry on it is taken into account. Lol, I want to see a little Imperial flag stuck to the turret.
Alan made a Baneblade for our BF1942 version but it was incomplete and didn't make it into the public alpha. The model was something like 10,000 polygons and caused a bit of a slowdown in bf1942 when looked at lol.

We do want to do some maps with super heavy tank battles but I think the only race with enough to counter the imperiums tanks would be the Eldar. Forgeworld (Games Workshops sister company) Has made all the rules for these vehicles in regular 40k.
If we were to have one in game, you would only see it on the very large maps, seeing as you would loose 7 team members just to pilot the behemoth.

    The positions numbered
    1. Driver & Gunner: Mega Battle Cannon + Co-Axial Autocannon
    2. Gunner: Twin Linked Heavy Bolter Turret + Demolisher Cannon Sponson
    3. Gunner: Left Lascannon
    4. Gunner: Left Twin Linked Heavy Bolter Sponson
    5. Gunner: Right Lascannon
    6. Gunner: Right Twin Linked Heavy Bolter Sponson
    7. Internal Repairs Compartment (We are still thinking about this one)

2 things about the last compartment:

      - What will it do? I'm assuming it auto-repairs the vehicle when it's occupied.
      - I though the maximum number of vehicle seats in BF2 was six O.o

        It was

We're debating whether or not to put a repair compartment in. As far as i'm concerned, you'd be making it near indestructable and would cause inbalance. So i'm against it :)

The repair compartment would be a passenger seat, but its only of any use to the engineer class, who can then get his wrench out and repair the vehicle from inside.

If you look at the control options for vehicles in bf2 its supports a maximum of 8 player positions.
