The guys over at WolfGaming.net have teamed up with DICE and Colin Clarke to bring us a new contest regarding the latest beta patch. Here's what they had to say:

In cooperation with DICE we would like to extend an invitation to all Battlefield 2 players to join us for testing of the latest patch (1.4).

When:
Beginning Friday July 21st at 12 Noon EDT until Sunday 12 Midnight EDT.

What:
Win Cash and Prizes for putting in the most time testing! (I.E. Playing the beta patch)

Who:
EVERYONE! There are NO restrictions.

Prizes:
Colin Clarke will randomly draw a name from the top 100 players* to win a brand new

• Sapphire Radeon X1800 XT 512MB PCI-Express Video Card
• $100 in cash to 2nd player randomly drawn from top 100.

I hate to say it, but this is rather stupid. They should have put out a 1.4 RC (release candidate) and then stress tested it. They just handed out 30 copys of the AF expansion without requiring any participation in the event?? First 30 to send an email? *smacks forehead*

j/k, i just don't feel like playing bf2 this weekend :)

EDIT: Yea, it was kind of dumb to throw away the AF keys like that, but I guess it pleased the people who lurk on that site. That, and i'm jealous.

I looked on the site and all 3 servers are... guess what... completely empty. 0 players.

And plus there in britain so most people would get high pings.
