    Operation Peacekeeper Mod Update

The team behind the Operation Peacekeeper mod is back today with a new update. They are showing off some new vehicle renders. Take a look:
We're starting with a preview of a new helicopter. Some people say it's not only “a“ helicopter, but “the“ helicopter par excellence. It was one of the faces of the Vietnam war that went around the world, is in use as rescue- and supporthelicopter all around the world, and the dull sound of its rotors brings back memories of the movie classic “Apocalypse Now“. We're talking about nothing less than the Dornier UH-1D.

Nicknamed “Huey“ this helicopter is a true legend in the sky. No matter if it's used as a simple transport helicopter, MedEvac, SAR (Search and Rescue) or gunship, there is little that the Huey can't do. The model of this legend was contributed by our fellow BGF-mate Badscull, who also made the MiG-21 and M80.

    <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=http://images.totalbf2.com/news/hueymodel1.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalbf2.com/news/thumb_hueymodel1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=http://images.totalbf2.com/news/hueymodel2.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalbf2.com/news/thumb_hueymodel2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=http://images.totalbf2.com/news/hueymodel3.jpg"><img src="http://images.totalbf2.com/news/thumb_hueymodel3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>
A true “OPK creation“ however is the new partner of the Serbian MiG-21, the SOKO J22 Orao. The translation for “Orao“ is eagle, and that's a really fitting name for this jet. Designed as a ground attack plane it's going to rain fear and death from above.

This joint venture of designers from Romania and the former Yugoslavia can be equipped with various bombs and air-to-ground missiles like the AGM65 Maverick. A two seated version is also produced, but the single seater is perfectly fitting for our needs.

Looking great, good job on the models! The paint is a little dull though, the first impression that I had - is I thought it wasn't skinned. Maybe add some greenish color or something and some Airforce Markings?

p.s.: *DoubleVee looks at the renders the second time* Hmm.. I think I'm jus trippin' :p.. The models aren't skinned, or are they?

Well I'm quite excited to hear about that since OPK is my favorite mod thus far. The models, although unskinned, look good.

Any chance of seeing the Serbs get to use the Huey? IRL the Serbian army did service a few of these.

this is the wron model for the serbian side. Serbia use the original Bell, not the in license build one from Dornier...

When the new version is released we will run a US sever. We had it up for a long time time but people wanted a change from the three maps until you released the new version.
