is that all you can give us feedback on? If we where to make realistic teams like "insurgents", how the hell would they stand up aginst the USMC? they would get crushed isntanly on a head on head battle. makeing it unfair and fun, if 1 team is crap, it makes the game crap, as no 1 wants to play that team, so no 1 has any 1 to shoot at, ect ect.

The point we want is realistic, teamplay combat. with relstic acting weapons that are still blanced.

If you really have a problem with the MEC you could play chines only maps maybe?

i agree with UH60BHPilot on this one.. i dont really care if they have crappy weapons (and imho a ak47 or rpg works just fine for me) thats not the point.
it's much more fun if you can actully put yourself in a conflict thats actully happend (happening)

but that dosent seem to be your goal in this mod so ill just leave it at that.

Well you need to understand, at the moment our prime target for v1.0 is to get the British armed forces ingame, once thats done we dont know where we will go from there, we might add some insurgents or w/e depeding on what we think our mod needs

Although I don't directly support "insurgents," I know many people would like to play on both teams. I LOVE the idea of in-direct balancing. Just because its insurgents against USMC dosn't mean it will be imbalanced, no matter what the weapons the insurgents get. You can design the maps to be more beneficial for the insurgents, give them the ability to setup traps, the use of IED's, etc.

Another example in a more simple form which I would like to see alot of, is something such as one team having a good amount of armor, while the other team is really well dug in , has good Anti-Tank emplacments, has air support, etc.

I am so tired of people making it perfectly balanced. THis team has 2 tanks, this team ahs 2 tanks. This team has 1 transport chopper and 1 attack chopper, the other team is the same. No variety at all.

I totally agree there, but.... that can be challenging to make work.

I'd LOVE to see an Insurgents team where, when that team comes up, you know you have to adapt your play style.

But then with other armies, you can play the more conventional tit-for-tat style.

But if we had to bet the farm on a heavily armed and capable force asymetrically balanced against an insurgent force for evey map / level / round / scenario.... that could get difficult.

I'd like both so we can experiment, but not flush the whole mod down the toilet if the experiment fails hehe.

Exactly, hehe and I understand you fully. About the insurgents, I was just countering what he had to say about it being not fair no matter what. At any rate, without insurgents it would be nice to see a few maps with a sort of balancing like that. I know it sounds alot easier than it actually is.
