like the last few patches, just make a copy of your bf2 folder and then apply the patch. bf2.exe in the copied directory will still run the 1.3 fine. You just have to make new/re-named shortcuts.

@ chaulk one, you have to make a new seperate battlefield 2 directory to install the 1.4 patch in so you dont override your 1.3. it means double the HD space tho

And as usual , no one releases an incremental BF2 Linix server patch....how nice. Have to reinstall the whole Fruuckin thing every thime they issue a "patch"

Now wait a minute.... only some of EA's servers will be running 1.4 server-side? So for everyone who installs this *beta* patch, they can no longer connect to the remaining 99% of 1.3 servers out there unless they downgrade? I'd love some more info on this...

beta test does not equate to bug fixes, just bug reports, they dont have to fix anything, if they feel it isnt an issue
