Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Forgotten Hope 2 mod website. They are back with some more great in game screenshots. Take a look:

Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we would like to start with a new static model - a Roman style temple. The entire North African littoral had been Roman territory at one time, and the remains of their presence dot the landscape, from Morocco to Egypt. This temple will provide atmosphere as well as cover for the maps in which it appears. Look forward to close-quarters infantry combat or perhaps just a place to hide from enemy tanks. The temple was made by Lobo and Rad and Lobo alone is all responsible for the ruins. Also note that Rad spent the week off-roading through the desert in the civilian truck.

The second item for this weeks update we have for you is the Hawker Hurricane Mk. II C. The Rolls Royce Merlin XX engine delivered 1280 ps and allowed for a maximum speed of 550 km/h. Introduced as fighter aircraft it was later changed to the fighter-bomber role as it was superseded by later generations of fighter aircraft. But with its four 20mm cannons, and its tough construction, it was not to be underestimated. The Hurricane was modeled and skinned by Lobo and exported and coded by ctz.

I must say that this is great stuff as usual.

It may be just me but they are getting old... When is the thing going to be released already! Just with the content shown we have to be breaking 2.5 gigs. Cant we have a half a dozen maps and one campain? Then add a Campain here and there? Not to be pushy but I have been following this thing for a year now and am going to move in a month and a half to a country in which an internet access speed of 152 kbps download is 200 a month. I do not think Bf2 would even work on that the higher speeds are much more expensive. I would love to at least beable to play this thing for a week or two before I leave!

Awesome job with the truck, guys! Way to listen to community feedback!

Spitefire looks great, too. Hopefully we'll get a release soon.

Also, do you guys plan on moving to bf2142 when it comes out? Apparently the server browsing GUI is much improved over the conventional BF2 one.

I hope not. BF2 will have a very sad mod scene if teams go to BF2142.

Yeah, finally some normal plane (without all that missles/flares BS) dogfighting. Let's hope they can keep it balanced and not give one plane a ridiculously large hitbox compaired to another.

The planes is one of the main things i'm looking forward to in this mod. Nice work guys. That temple looks really nice too.

Great job guys. Nice work up touching up the truck from last week, like someone said above, way to listen to the community. The temple looks awesome also. I'm curious though, are there no tracers from the guns fired on the hurricane?
