Hey Stizzle, I was having the same problem before.

I uninstalled and did a full 1.4 install, instead of imcremental. That fixed it for me, no more CTDs. I have no idea why, computers suck, lol.

It was set to medium, i checked the "same mod" box in the server filters but It just kept on crashing.

I hope that when 1.4 is released you can release a full USI client (not a 1.4 hotfix for USI v.1, but a full BF2 1.4 USI client, if you get me) for 1.4, so all we need to do is patch bf2 to 1.4, then install USI and done, Go on to continue raping with the Ground Attack Planes.

Or how about a full 1.3 USI client, without the need to download the 1.22 client, then hotfix it? Maybe things will be more stable (like how using the full 1.3 patch is better than the incremental)

I thought about that earlier. I think I will make two versions, an incremental and a full install.
That will make it easier for most of the new players :)

Great looking mod, too bad no one is playing it.

It's all my team and I play now, along with our buddies from other clans who have ALSO dumped their ranked servers in favor of USI. Start up USI then apply the "Same Mod" filter and you should always be able to find populated USI servers. And I'm noticing more and more USI servers and players every week:

Not to be a fanboy or anything, but I had to take the time to politely agree to disagree. :)

After a certain number of patches, DICEs games tend to become unstable without doing a clean re-install. When the 1.3 patch came out for BF2, I uninstalled BF2, did a clean reinstall, applied the full 1.3 patch, then defragged my hard drive. Make sure you have the 0.11 USI hotfix of course.

Yeah i have it working now, just like old times. Can't wait for the next release!
