BF2: A Game For Terrorist Training?

The good folks over at ABC News have recently posted up a new video discussing congress and how they believe Battlefield 2 is being used as a breeding ground for terrorist training. The video discusses such issues as the video made by Sonic Jihad and how they believe it to be for terrorist proganda solely because it was found on "insurgent" websites. All in all, the video is a good laugh for all us gamers to see Congress have no idea what they are talking about.

holy ****ing ****, im moving to canada. these dumbass's rule our country and make the laws but they cant spend 5 minutes on the internet to find out about the game that they claim terrorists made to recruit people. don't any of them have kids? couldn't they just ask their teenage son about bf2?

Ahahahaha, when I read that headline in the RSS feed I lol'd This is the House Intelligence Committee?!

It reminds me of a thing that happened over here (in the UK) about ten years ago. Someone was being interviewed about games on Newsnight and the interviewer interrupted him halfway through a sentence saying "Wait a minute...you're telling me adults play these things?!"

Why would people charge money for propaganda? That alone makes no sense... Even the US Army understood that their game they created to increase people's interest in them would have to be free for it to have any effect at all.

I get the feeling though that their talking about the expansion when they refer to the "addon program" which costs 25$. That just boggles the mind... Especially when that is an EA product as well. Did they think some terrorists copied the look and layout of the EA downloader site or something? :P
