Again, and I've said this before about arty complainers. People cant take the fact that there is the"X" factor in this game. What I mean by that is that you cant control everything in the game, you might have arty fall on your head and wipe out your entire squad. You might have some sneaky bugger throw c4 on your tank from 5 feet away!!! You cant do anything about it, and you hate that dont you? Because you have no control. That is what makes the BF series so awesome. You never know whats going to happen. Thats why battlerecorder was invented. To capture those brilliant moments and share them with your buds is what its all about. This game is turning into an infantry only game, slowly but surely. And it's because of complainers. As soon as it becomes too real your going to hate it and only the guys playing Project reality are going to be playing. No offense guys:)

    FIX THE BUGS---YES!
    CHANGE THE GAMEPLAY----NO!!!!!!
Defeatest, I agrea with you. BF 1942 was soo great because of that reason. I wouldnt mind seeing the re spawn time lowerd tho .

Well, the crowd was there to play some BF2 matches, and didn't know about this session until 2 minutes before, so we were caught by surprise with no time to dig up the best questions. That could definitely have been better!

I wouldn't exactly say that I'm a fan of EA right now, but I think they are slowly learning from their many mistakes.. (I'm still putting my money on ETQW though).

And to that guy who wrote people were looking geeky - what would you expect, when you invite the most enthusiastic BF2 players to travel to a TV studio to make some "geek tv"? And what IS wrong with being geeky? Being on this forum is geeky..

they have become part of EA and its clear from that interview they have lost sight of the gaming community adn just want to suck us dry. well not this time Dice.
Better late than never, but for folks like yourself I guess there is no win. I agree about the mines and things like that, but more cry babies speak up than those statisfied. If $50 and two $10 Boosters (if you bought them) is sucking you dry you need to get a new job, go back to school, or stop any bad habbits. You've been spoiled by downloading and not paying for most of what you use.

Great comment for a mod-developer! I hope you are well supported for your $70 (or $95 if you buyed SF also)...no? I think ROK will be a mod that bypasses me untouched (if its ever been released).
Even bad habits are more fun then BF2 right now. Nobody wants to waste his money or give money to someone who can't deliver. Giving the people hope is a good marketing strategy. How else could it be that so many bought the booster or are crazy als hell about 2142 in the current BF2 situation?

I said nothing wrong, just cause I don't join the bash EA/Dice band wagon like you and others you won't support a mod that you nothing about. You just sound silly.

Okay so I'm listening to the vid...and I get the feeling they read through all the posts around here. That's a good thing.

I think the video was produced as a result of the poll..."will you buy 2142".

Definately a good PR video...though he was way too nervous and gave me the impression he was in a room of nerds that were about to beat him to death with old psu's. Anyway.

Good job Dice....but I get the impression you're spreading yourselves thin...I hope I'm wrong.

Ohh god those were the biggest nerds out there... And I think they vetted them before hand because NO one asked any decent or normal questions about BF2!

I can't believe how NO one ASKED anything... so much so that Colin Clarke had to ASK if there are any questions.

Re: Colin Clarke Featured On GZ.TV

The video was both a sigh of relief and a fire starter. The video talked a lot about BF2142 and what it features and discussed about a lot of things that are wrong in BF2 will be fixed in BF2142. Well I can't help but admit that this line is promoting BF2142 and getting people to buy it because their experience won't be so frustrating in the future. Seems like a good selling point to me.

I was pretty annoyed by the fact that these guys are BF2 players and should of asked a bunch of questions and if possible throw objects at Colin Clarke. I admire the fact that he did state the issues involved with killing someone with a knife and it takes 5 swipes sometimes before you get the kill. He also talked about the rediscovery of c4 chucking which is good. He also mentioned the prone spamming issue which I feel could certainly be solved by implementing BF:V;s prone.

Most notable question I would of interested in hearing is (Colin, Since the 1.3 patch servers have been crashing left and right. Do you guys plan on releasing at least a hotfix in the meantime to thwart the server crashes? We all know ranked servers provide a substantial amount of income to EA)

Anymore questions? (Yes I have another one, You talk a lot about the things that will be fixed in 2142, however I have yet to spend 50-60$ for the game as I did with BF2. I want to know how many of the items fixed in 2142 will also be fixed for the game I purchased?

Next Question Please? ( You Again, Ok what do you got. Well I seeing as how your community manager and it appears as though you play this game on a regular basis, please tell us your annoyances with the game, for instance how many times have you had a ERYX missile fly through a DPV or HumVee and you end up being run over.

My next question is concerning the Squad Leader role in BF2. In it's current iteration the Squad leader role is a little more important now than it was before the squad hopping was taken out, however the Squad leader has to focus on staying alive rather than playing the game. Of course he can do requests for vehicles, arty and supplies, but the squad leader wants to kill and actively engage sites. I was wondering if you had any plans on making the Squad Leader role in BF2 a more desirable role as such in 2142?

Second to last question. I have seen a lot of recent articles as of late about EA learning from it's mistakes. Why is is that the TK system is still a complete waste of time. For instance, you could be sitting in a tank at a flag talking to your squad and a team mate rams your tank with a DPV and is killed. Guess what, you get punished for the TK and you didn't do a damn thing? Is this one of those mistakes that EA can't seem to learn?

I have one more question. It has been over a year now since the release of BF2. After reviewing the BF2 YEAR IN REVIEW setup by Battlefield Podcast I see that we have been through quite a lot over the course of a year. First off Kudos to EA/DICE for all of the patches that have been released over the year as most companies only do about 1-2 patches if were lucky. My question is, why does it seem like one patch leads to another? You guys seem to fix things which breaks other things causing this endless cycle of fixing that never seems to get finished.

I do have to say overall though that if they do implement all of the said changes, that BF2 could be that enjoyable fun game Ive been wanting to play for a long time. I was actually given a glimmer of hope finally but we'll have to see as actions speak louder than words.

Well some of you guys are morons, if your brains was a bomb that went off, it
wouldnt even mess up your hair
This was in Denmark and yes, alot of ppl write, speak and talk english but not all
and some better than others, and as harle.dk wrote we only had a few min to prepare. I would like to hear any questions from some of you in danish, hell ill give you 2 month to prepare and even then you probaly couldnt even order a pizza
And if you dont like the way some ppl looks, ill stab your eyes for free, no problem
After the broadcast we had the guy for approx one hour and trust me, they know they ****ed up, they know ppl are ****ed, they know about all the bugs, they know ppl gonna punish them(2142) if they dont do something
now they has to show that they can/will fix it

I don't like the idea of BF2142, it might be great when it comes out but it looks too much like Warhammer 40 000 (i don't know if any of you know what it is, and i havn't got the time to explain) But I just dont like the look of the vehicles, Stomping around the battlefield of these ungainly looking machines.
