2142 is going to kick ass. Im going to have to build a new machine for it though....... Im a die hard fan of BF2, just like MW. I can see a Mechwarrior spin off of this one. Oh yeah!!!! Sorry, just being a mech junkie.....

Sounds like they finally woke to the din of all the on-going complaints. It's encouraging to hear they will have the open beta to gain feedback. I just hope they have the wisdom to know the difference between whining and the complaints of real issues.

Beta sounds like a bunch of ********.
Sounds like they just want feedback about the features they want to implement before hearing the fans (not a bad idea :\). Nothing about fixing anything though.
Using invitation only generally by definition excludes it from being a open beta.
It makes it a closed beta (albeit large).

If they can't get even the terms right, hell, I have little confidence in them figuring out how to set one all up to work.

                Use Bugzilla bitches!!

This is a good example of why I got sick of bf2 for a few months and only returned since af released. Ever since BF2 released they focus on "fixing" things that dont need fixing and they never cease to ignore important issues and bugs that plague the game.

The only thing about quake wars is the map size theyre roughly going to be 1/4 the size I want bigger like typhoon riseing not smaller BIGGER.
If you want big maps, take a look at Armed Assault. http://www.armedassault.eu/news.php

                      It's maps will be HUGE!
Gameplay will be similar to BF2, but more on the semi-realistic side.

Good job with this interview btw Colin Clarke. I was under the impression they didn't care about BF2 anymore, with this interview he shows they DO. Plus the fact they're putting out 1.4 as an open beta test, good call.

well from what I gathered from that it sounded like he was saying he knows BF2 is sh** and 2142 will fix the problems instead. Like no random bullet deviation, they're gonna fix dolphin diving, no overpowerment like the J10. They should be fixing this stuff in BF2 not going well it's crap but it's ok we will get it right next time. It should be right this time. After watching that I am interested in playing 2142 and I gathered that if you play BF2 you are automatically invited to play the 2142 beta.

Did you see the scene where he answers the question whether to buy BF2142 or ET:QW? What a great ignorant answer. I think that he doesn't know how hard the competition will be or didn't see any real ingame footage. I for myself do also not think that ET:QW will be a better game. I think they both will be very even but ET:QW will come with a better support atlast and thats is in my opinion the reason why DiCE woke up and does something like the public beta for the BF2 patch. So thank ET:QW for the BF2 open beta patch :).
