    US Intervention Mod Update

The team behind the US Intervention mod is back today with a progress report on their upcoming release. Here's what they had to say:
USI returns to you with news over the progress that's been made on the 0.15 patch. As you know we will not only correct the bugs you've pointed out, but we will also include some new vehicles. Some of these are the M551, which you saw rendered in the previous update, the BMD1 and the T-62. The M551 dropable light tank (mostly made of aluminium) will be equiped with with ATGM's (anti tank guided missiles) just like the T-62. The BMD1 has no real US conterpart at the moment. It will be usefull against infantry and could inflict some serious against ennemy tanks.

We would also like to thank Rexman for his contribution to the modding scene. He recently tweaked his tool modders use to export objects to BF2. This tweak will help reduce the lagg some people have been suffering from.

Isnt the BMD1 the counterpart to the US APC?

Sort of, but it has a cannon instead of a autloader 20mm or whatever. There is a much closer counterpart to the M2a2 that'll be shown in another upcoming news.

All looks great except for the BMD skin.. It just doesn't look like it's up to your standards. What happened? It looks a little blurry and low res. And that color doesn't really suit it very well.

Ninjo - Is this what you are talking about?

                      Your post is inaccurate.
He didn't tweak the mod tools. he fixed a Serious flaw in it. However every modder should thank him for fixing the recently discovered problem so quickly and for all of his contributions he has done.

i recently started playing your mod and im really enjoying myself.
but one thing i hope to see get some attention is the maps.

there are just to damn many flags!
add less flags = more intence battles and not that lame flag running style of game.

You're right, but what difference does it make? If I had said that extra ploys were created while exporting an object with several materials applied to it and that he solved that issue. Would more people understand my point?

And now it may seem like we are repeating other modteams newsposts, but that's not the case, this newsupdate was ready a day or two after his new version of the tool was released, but got delayed. So no copying here, we mean it :) No Rexman = No USI

And about the lag issue, I'm getting the same framerate in USI then in vBF2, which wasn't the case before.
