Well.... the render is amazing. The model and skin however seem to be just as good as everything else the DCon boys have made (which is still quite good mind you). Almost everyone has just been seduced by the lighting too much to notice that.

It looks like a toy because the normal map seam lines are thick. Thinner lines means higher resolution which means more texture memory... You can play with higher detailed models in Flight Simulator 2004.:laugh:

I've just noticed the comments about 'toy looking'...

Even if the model looked average (which they do not) - if the DCon guys can bring back DC gameplay, I wouldnt care if the frigging helo was pink!
- although black / camo is preferable!

This is a game. There not real, they dont fly like they are real, they dont shoot real bullets, and the bitching about this makes no REAL sense, lol.

This will be one of the top three MODs, its obvious at this point. Of course, thats going to make lots of people talk junk simply because of that fact.

I am eagerly awaiting this one, as well First Strike. Galactic Conquest was one of my favorite MODs for 1942

Also, don't count your chickens before they hatch. The graphics might look totally awsome but the gameplay could be totally screwed up.

Looks absolutely awesome guys, I would love to see some more wear & tear though but I'm a sucker for dirty stuff.

Well, this is above and beyond FH's models...

Your opinion. I have seen lots of mods with models and skins just as good as this one. The level of quality is getting better and better though, the original game has been beaten for a while now.
