Mods are tempting, but when downloading=lots of MB. Also, it's not ranked. These 2 always keep me away from mods.

Yea but mods add a lot to the game...try ONE mod like USI or prmm and I guarantee you will watch your frustrations/worries melt away. Yea ranked servers are fun/nice to earn badges but remember when you just played and didn't really "care" about your KD ratio or another medal etc etc. Guess it's a matter of opinion on that one then.

As for AF...it's out.

I downloaded and installed this. Played one map. Then tried to join another server, and now ALL the servers say I don't have Armored Fury installed. What gives?!?!?

I'm having the exact same problem. Well, the EA BF2 site is down, and every single AF server suddenly became empty.

coincidence? or typical EA?

I tried AF, and WTF? The A-10 canon is just like the standard jets! And it handles weird!

And LOL! The impact, oh the impact! When you hit one of your high explosive 30mm super shell raining hell from the sky, the impact is like a 5.56 round hitting the ground.

If you are in the USI A-10 you are going to feel like you are god, on impact huge blisters of fire spread all over the area while the whining engine keeps this flying death machine in air.

It's a gimmicky expansion pack, mark my words it will be dead in less than a month. Just like EF, servers will begin to disappear, and players will be coming to the boards here asking "Where's all the AF servers gone!?".

I am happy to sit this one out, in my own little protest against EA's business methods, for whatever it's worth, at least I'll save a couple of quid.

I agree. Looks like it's just for the pilots, and there really aren't that many of them in the BF2 world. The rest of us have no intention to run around the ground as targets.

I was quite much looking forward to AF but now I am a bit skeptical....EF was quite nice even though Great Wall is the only map that made it until today for me..10 Bucks again..........dont wanna download it though cause I feel a bit less ripped off when having at least some kind of box aside me ;-) but as always shops here (Hamburg) dont have it yet and all kinds of internet-gaming-pages say a different release date.......maybe today, tomorrow.....

but even though I am shure we will all meet on the AF-Battlefield tonight, SOLDIERS!

shure, have seen the updated ea-downloader ....but as I said, I want a BOX and not just a x-digit number written on a crappy piece of paper on my desk! so some more waiting......or should I download quickly and play..?! its just a click away....lol

I thought the guys at EA would have got the job sorted by now all i keep seeing is people havin problems wi crashes and dodgy stuff wtf is going on i used to play desert strike on yhe mega drive so i think u guys have had long enough to get a grip :hmm:
