my questions: can they hope to patch what they've patched? is it as easy as overwriting things that have been changed or will it make the code worse?

i've never reloaded bf2, yep, got my original load of bf2 on my hdd, and am not aware of the process (software side of patch implementation).

I have a BIG question if I can ever ask someone in the know from EA / DICE about it.

Question: Why do I have to use a site like BF2s.com to find out what I need to do in order to get ribbons / badges / medals?

Why the need to keep this a "mystery" to most people instead of just telling us what we need to do to get them. It's some hush hush BS that makes no sense. Instead of trying to randomly pop up rewards give the players a means to find out what they need to do in order to get to where they want to be, like every other MMORG game out there you know what you need to do in order to get there. Earning these awards should be the same in this scenario.

You missed my point. The reason for that site was because EA did not include a means to know how one could get badges \ ribbons \ medals. I should not have to hunt and peck around on the web for information that SHOULD be included in a game.

Well, considering that you guys generally don't often tell us you're reading the forums and that issues are being worked on, it comes as quite a shock to us that you actually are. We just assume that you guys are twiddling around with your thumbs up your asses in Sweden. No offense meant.

We are currently forwarding all the comments made with reference to the latest patch to the development team and we expect to receive an update on the next steps in the near future.

The most important thing for the next update HAS GOT TO BE server stability!!! FFS!!!
Please, please fix the server's so it will be possible to play the game without the server crashing every other map...

I rented a 40 slot server just before the patch, and i really, really wish i didnt!!

That was 130 $ right out the window! :hmm:
